My first camera was a school-issued DSLR in secondary school, snapping events and behind-the-scenes moments for my CCA without really knowing what I was doing. Photography came up again in art school, but only as a grade. Nothing more.

​

It wasn't until 2023, when I brought my old Canon EOS 1500D to Japan after years of closed borders, that something clicked. Photography gave me a meaning. The ability to stop time, to hold onto moments that can't be recreated once they've passed.
